Attention: Bereaved Parents Needed

2/2/2014 (Grief Relief)

Occasionally, I come in contact with a bereaved parent who is very interested in doing research pertaining to child loss.  This week was one of those times when I was contacted to ask if I would get word out to see if there are any parents who would be interested in sharing your experience for the sake of helping other parents deal with the grief of losing a child.

Below is the information I was given. I've been in contact with Tom several times this week.  He and his wife are bereaved parents and Tom is conducting this study as part of his work for college.

Please read the information below and if you meet the qualifications and are interested, please contact Tom as soon as possible.  Thanks so much!  – Clara

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE: A research study is being conducted to gain a greater understanding of the experiences of bereaved parents. The purpose of this study is to expand on existing knowledge and potentially reduce the isolation experienced by the bereaved. Selected participants will include biological and adoptive parents, who have experienced the death of a child, and whose child was between the ages of 2 and 12 at the time of death. The child’s death must have occurred prior to January 1, 2011 and parents must reside in the Continental United States. Each qualified participant, after consenting to participation, will be interviewed, via telephone, by the primary researcher Thomas Fulbrook. This study has been approved by Walden University Institutional Review Board No 09-20-13-0056267. For information, please contact Thomas Fulbrook at (702) 245-4755 or

If you are interested in a workshop or Clara coming to speak to your group, please email Clara at: Every attempt will be made to get back to you within two business days.
